A long chat extension for Perplexity
Tvara is a Chrome extension for long Perplexity threads. It keeps a thread with many follow-ups responsive, lets you jump to any question or answer in it, shows how many Pro searches you have left, and keeps your Perplexity threads on your own computer.
What Tvara adds to Perplexity
- Speed engine. Answers outside the screen are put to sleep and wake as you scroll back to them. Nothing is deleted.
- Minimap. One mark for each question you asked and one for each answer, so a thread of twenty follow-ups is twenty pairs you can jump between.
- Outline and in-chat search. A table of contents for the thread, and search across all of it.
- Pro searches left. The counts Perplexity itself reports, and your plan. A Pro subscription that has lapsed is not shown as Pro.
On Perplexity every one of these is free.
Your Perplexity threads, kept on your computer
Tvara copies your threads into a local archive in the background, and a thread is found whether you open it from a search link or a thread link. Exporting the archive is free. Searching every archived thread at once, encrypted backups and Context Bridge are part of Pro: $1 once, on up to five devices.
Private by design
No question, answer or thread title is sent to Tvara. The only server is the licence issuer, and it never sees a conversation.
